Super Low IgG FBS
モノクローナル抗体産生細胞であるハイブリドーマの培養では、IgG含有量が少なく、一般的なFBSと同等のパフォーマンスが得られる血清が必要とされています。ハイブリドーマの培養には通常1～5%、あるいは10%のFBSが用いられますが、数%のFBSにはハイブリドーマの培養で得られるモノクローナル抗体（IgG）とほぼ同じ濃度のIgGが含まれており、ダウンストリームの抗体精製が非常に難しくなります。
HyClone FBSには平均190 μg/mLのIgGを含んでいますが、Super Low IgG FBS中のIgG濃度は5 μg/mL以下となります（比濁法による測定）。
また、0.04 μmフィルターによる最終ろ過を実施しています。
