Halt Protease Inhibitor Cocktail に含まれているプロテアーゼ阻害剤は表1 の通りです。各成分は単品での購入も可能で、特定のプロテアーゼ阻害剤の濃度を高めたカクテルを調製することができます。

Halt Protease Inhibitor Single-use Cocktail (EDTA存在/不在)と市販の錠剤カクテルを添加した1.0 mg/mlラット膵臓抽出物を一般的なプロテアーゼアッセイの同条件で比較した。Pierce single-use cocktails では 97% 以上阻害、対して錠剤は 59% 以上の阻害となった。

Halt Protease Inhibitor Single-Use Cocktailのプロテアーゼ活性阻害をSDS-PAGEで確認するため、ウシ血清アルブミン(BSA)を0.1 mg/ml Trypsin in M-PER または0.1 mg/ml Trypsin in B-PER存在下37℃で一晩放置した。
Lane 1: コントロール1; BSA only
Lane 2: コントロール2; Trypsin (0.1 mg/ml) (+) BSA. No Halt Protease Inhibitor Single-Use Cocktail present.
Lane 3: BSA (+) Trypsin with Halt Protease Inhibitor Single-Use Cocktail with EDTA.
Lane 4: BSA (+) Trypsin with Halt Protease Inhibitor Single-Use Cocktail, EDTA-free.
