ビオチンおよびビオチン標識複合体

ビオチンは組織・細胞や血液中に存在する分子量244の水溶性化合物でビタミンHとも呼ばれています。アビジンやストレプトアビジン、そしてニュートラアビジンなどのビオチン結合タンパク質と強い親和性を示し、その結合は非共有結合としては最も強い結合の一つです。低分子化合物であるビオチンは立体障害が少なく、多くの抗体やタンパク質はその活性に影響なく標識することができます。このビオチン標識タンパク質はそれぞれアビジンと結合するため、ABI法などの増感法でも用いられています。
